What it is

A grain elevator is a buffer between farmers and a mill. Lorries arrive with wheat, barley or durum; each delivery is sampled and analysed, directed into a silo chamber according to the result, and later moved, blended or released to the mill. This application records all of it.

What I did

I added the smell readings the laboratory was recording but the operational list could not show, which meant changing the query, a model whose field order is load-bearing, the grid and the spreadsheet export in step. I also produced the printable grain report and surfaced two further readings that are shown only to users with the right directory permissions.

The fix I would lead with: the mill's PDF refused to open when the analysis card number was missing. The bug report was "the PDF does not open". The finding was that the mill needs the document before the laboratory has filled the card in, so two departments disagreed about the order their work happens in. The missing number is now a handled case instead of a failure.
